Next up is Daftar Wingit 2: Miss K (2024). The setting and set design in Indonesian horror films are always brutal. You really make me want to visit this beautiful country! However, the stories they’re based on are pretty mediocre. As far as haunted house movies go, honestly, it’s not that bad. But it’s definitely not great either. The opening actually kind of drew me in. At least enough to win me over. Especially considering there are some really cool parts… like the bloodshed. The bloodshed is pretty well done. However, among the good parts, there are some questionably stupid things. Some of them disrupt the flow. And there are a few moments where things seemed to be getting closer to the end… only to make the movie get longer and longer. It feels like an attempt to make a series out of it. However, the special effects in it are excellent. There are some really solid gore spots. So I’d say it’s worth watching for that alone. But it probably should have been shorter.5 out of 10.
