Miami, 1991. Hall, February 1, 1971. In episode 4, Blockbuster employee Deb and her boyfriend meet in uniform wearing a navy blue short-sleeved shirt. In 1991, employees wore light blue long-sleeved shirts. Short sleeves weren’t worn until 4-5 years later. Dexter: Resurrection (2025) followed. I went into this with pretty low expectations and mostly just excited about Resurrection. The first episode started off terrible with the editing and the CGI cop car, and I thought, “Oh boy, this is going to fall.” I was eating crow by the end of the first episode because the actors were great at portraying their characters and the story showed a lot of promise. While we already know a lot of the backstory, the first episode had a few surprises that deepened the plot. Some of the characters we’ve come to know and love, and added to the decisions those characters made. There’s only one episode left, and I’m already excited!
